Description
At Agripreneur, we encourage the farmers we work with to implement short, medium and long-term income generating projects. Orange trees are an excellent medium-term project for farmers. Grafted orange trees (where a piece of an orange tree is attached to the root stock of a lemon tree, in order to produce healthier, faster growing trees) can begin producing fruit in only two years. The fruit is easily saleable within the villages and nearby towns.
